Northwood offers a variety of ministries to its members and community, both to meet personal needs and to provide opportunities for Christian service to others. The goal of all our ministries is to assist people in "growing in faith, hope and love." "Faith" is nurtured and strengthened through all the ways we come "to know Christ" through finding our Callings (using our gifts and talents in service to God and others), acts of Celebration (our regular and special services of worship through the year), our means of Communication (both within the church through "Newsnotes" and to the broader community through media advertisements and this website), and Nurture (educational opportunities in many forms, locations, and times). "Hope" is what makes possible all our other programs and missions through providing the institutional resources necessary through Facilities Management, Funds Development, Funds Management, and Staffing. "Love" is extended through all the ways that we "make Christ known" by providing Care for Individuals and Families, Hospitality to members and guests (through fellowship opportunities), Witness and Service (by involvement in local and global ministries and misssions), and Relations with Other Churches (both within the Presbyterian Church [USA] and ecumenically).
