Our Schedule of Services
Our meeting times throughout the year on Sunday are:
9:00 - 9:50 a.m.
Adult Bible Class
9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Christian
Education, Music and Enrichment for Children
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Worship
11:00 - 11:30 a.m. Coffee Fellowship
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of
each month, and on Maundy Thursday. The Sacrament of Baptism is available
upon consultation with the pastor.
Special services during the year include a Tenebrae Service at 7:30
p.m. on Maundy Thursday, a 7:00 a.m. Easter Sunrise Service, and a Service
of Lessons and Carols at 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
Northwood is a member congregation of the National
Capital Presbytery of the Presbyterian
Church (USA).

50th
Anniversary Celebration
On September 21, Northwood celebrated the 50th Anniversary of it's first
worship service. There was a special worship service with many of the
church's former pastors participating and a special reception immediately

NPC in the World
A new section has been added to the Northwood website that will shine a
spotlight on some of the ways that Northwood members are active within
the church, our immediate community, and around the world. Called "NPC
in the World," these pages will be regularly updated, and will
typically present one story about each of these three spheres of
involvement. Our hope is that this information will both tell you about
the kind of people who are Northwood Presbyterian Church and also
encourage more folks both within our congregation and elsewhere to

Northwood's Bylaws
On Sunday, May 21, 2006 the congregation approved new Articles of
Incorporation and Bylaws for Northwood Presbyterian Church, Inc. (which holds
and manages real and continuing assets for the use of the congregation) and
Northwood Presbyterian Church (the programs and ministries of our church). Copies of the documents

Presentation on End of Life Issues and Planning Memorial Services
Periodically Reverend Tim presents a workshop at Northwood
on advanced planning of funerals and memorial services, including
information about various issues at the end of life and options for burial
