Our Schedule of Services

Our meeting times throughout the year on Sunday are:
9:00 - 9:50 a.m.          Christian Education for Children and Adults
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.       Worship
11:00 - 11:30 a.m.       Coffee Fellowship

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, and on Maundy Thursday. The Sacrament of Baptism is available upon consultation with the pastor.

Special services during the year include a Tenebrae Service at 7:30 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, a 7:00 a.m. Easter Sunrise Service, and a Service of Lessons and Carols at 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Northwood is a member congregation of the National Capital Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Olan Mills will be taking photos for the new church photo directory on May 23, 30 and 31. You can sign-up online for your appointment on either Friday (May 23 or 30). The remaining appointment times for Saturday, May 31, can now only be made in person on Sunday mornings or by contacting the church office.

Information About Meadowkirk Camper Scholarships

Meadowkirk is the camp and retreat ministry of the National Capital Presbytery. We are providing information about their summer camping programs and camper scholarships to encourage participation by children, youth and their families. NPC in the World

A new section has been added to the Northwood website that will shine a spotlight on some of the ways that Northwood members are active within the church, our immediate community, and around the world. Called "NPC in the World," these pages will be regularly updated, and will typically present one story about each of these three spheres of involvement. Our hope is that this information will both tell you about the kind of people who are Northwood Presbyterian Church and also encourage more folks both within our congregation and elsewhere to support these important efforts. Northwood's Bylaws

On Sunday, May 21, 2006 the congregation approved new Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws for Northwood Presbyterian Church, Inc. (which holds and manages real and continuing assets for the use of the congregation) and Northwood Presbyterian Church (the programs and ministries of our church). Presentation on End of Life Issues and Planning Memorial Services
